The blows keep coming for the Los Angeles Rams.

Starting wide receiver Cooper Kupp will reportedly miss the team’s Week 17 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals after testing positive for coronavirus, per ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The reports come after the Rams placed the wide receiver on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.

Kupp could have potentially returned by Sunday if he hadn’t tested positive and was a close contact to someone who contracted the virus.

Kupp currently paces the team with 92 receptions and 974 yards. He’s been targeted a team-high 124 times and has three touchdowns this season. Kupp has also carried the ball four times for 33 rushing yards.

With Kupp out, the Rams will likely increase Van Jefferson’s workload.

Of the team’s 10 pass catchers, Jefferson is the only other wideout not named Kupp, Robert Woods or Josh Reynolds to reel in a pass this season. All told, Jefferson has caught 15 balls for 170 yards and a touchdown.

The Rams could also look to elevate a wide receiver from their practice squad for added depth.

The Kupp update is the latest to impact the Rams.

On Monday, the team announced starting quarterback Jared Goff had surgery on his right thumb. He will be out for the Week 17 matchup against Arizona.

Instead of Goff, Los Angeles is turning to backup and former Arizona Hotshots QB John Wolford.

The former Alliance of American Football signal caller has yet to throw a pass in an NFL regular season game.

To make matters worse, the team placed running back Darrell Henderson on the injured reserve Tuesday due to an ankle injury. Fellow running back Cam Akers’ status is murky with a high ankle sprain.

The duo have combined for 1,215 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground this season. They’ve also added 230 yards and two scores as pass catchers.
