The newest member of Arizona football head coach Jedd Fisch’s staff has deep ties to the Wildcats’ in-state rivals to the north.
Current Arizona State senior associate athletics director and former NFL running back Scottie Graham will take over as the Wildcats’ running backs coach, according to WildcatAuthority’s Jason Scheer.

Graham has worked under ASU vice president for athletics Ray Anderson since 2014, after playing for Ohio State from 1988-91 and the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals between 1992-97.
The Long Beach, N.Y. native racked up 1,267 rushing yards and seven touchdowns during his NFL career. He’ll be tasked with resuscitating a Wildcats’ rushing attack that ranked 73rd in the nation in rushing yards per game in 2020, averaging 156.4 yards in five contests.
Graham joins previously-announced staff members, Ricky Hunley (defensive line), Chuck Cecil (defensive backs) and Brennan Carroll (offensive coordinator/offensive line), on Fisch’s staff for 2021.
