New Year, new signing.
Phoenix Rising FC announced the first acquisition of 2021 on Monday in winger Prince Saydee.
The 27-year-old spent last season with fellow USL Championship side Miami FC, where he would lead the team with three assists in 11 matches.
“I can’t wait to join Phoenix Rising,” Saydee said in a press release. “I haven’t been to Phoenix but I have heard it is a great club. I know the team won championships in the last few years. I feel like I can help them continue to do that.
“For me personally, I excel in wide positions. I like to go down the line and sending in dangerous crosses. I also am good at cutting inside and finishing.”

Prince began his professional footballing career for Liberian first-division side Barrack Young Controllers FC in 2013 at the age of 17.
He would go on to score 23 goals in 43 games in addition to making one 90-minute appearance for the Liberian National Team in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.
“Prince is explosive,” manager Rick Schantz said in the release. “He is very fast and excels in one-on-one attacking situations. He will add depth to our amazing attacking core and push players to compete.
“We are preparing for many games over a grueling season. He will help us be in the best position to win. Prince is a key piece to this puzzle.”
Phoenix Rising now has 14 players signed to its roster ahead of the 2021 USLC campaign:

Center backs: Joey Farrell and Tobi Adewole
Midfielders: Jon Bakero, Kevon Lambert, Aodhan Quinn and Arturo Rodriguez
