Phoenix Raceway to allow limited fans for NASCAR event in March

Phoenix Raceway announced Monday it will host a limited number of fans for the upcoming NASCAR spring event due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Spectators will be screened before entering the raceway March 12-14 at staggered entry times and must wear face coverings.
“We look forward to kicking off another 2021 NASCAR season at Phoenix Raceway this March and while we wish we could host a capacity crowd, the health and safety of everyone remains our top priority,” Phoenix Raceway president Julie Giese said in a press release Tuesday.
“In similar fashion to this past November for the track’s first-ever NASCAR Championship Weekend, we plan to host a limited number of fans for this event. November was a tremendous success, and we look forward to executing another safe and successful event this March.”
To ensure social distancing, a number of guests will have their grandstand seats relocated.
Due to the limited amount of spectators, some guests who have already purchased tickets for the weekend may not be accommodated. Season ticket holders will get first priority as part of the process, the raceway said.
Additionally, the INfield Experience will not be available. Reserved table seating in the infield for Saturday and Sunday will be available. Hillside seating will be available on Sunday.
Camping will still be allowed on the campgrounds, which open March 8. Campers will be pre-screened before entering. Campsites are limited to six guests per spot.
