Arizona high school products, ASU’s Daniels in mix for 2021 Heisman

Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels has found himself in the mix as he heads into his junior campaign. Daniels has +1400 odds to win the trophy next year, according to SportsBetting.ag.

In a shortened season where the Sun Devils only played four games, Daniels completed 58.3% of his passes for 701 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.

He also rushed 33 times for 223 yards (6.8 average) and accumulated a career-high four rushing touchdowns.

The top favorite to win is former Pinnacle High School standout and Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler with a 5/1 shot.

Rattler is followed by quarterbacks D.J. Uialelei of Clemson and Sam Howell of UNC.

Four other former Arizona high school players have also made the list.

USC quarterback Kedon Slovis (Desert Mountain) landed within the top-10 at +1200 odds.

Oregon QB Tyler Shough (Hamilton), Texas running back Bijan Robinson (Salpointe Catholic) and Iowa State signal caller Brock Purdy (Perry) come in behind Daniels at +1400 and +1600.
