Diamondbacks share fighting words with Dodgers

Gerardo Parra took an inside pitch from Dodger Hong-Chih Kuo in the 7th inning for a ball.
He also took it personally.
Parra hit the game-tying home run in the same at bat, making sure to spend time admiring his work before rounding the bases.
The Dodgers took exception to his theatrics, and choice words were sent in the D-backs’ direction. Some of the juiciest stuff, apparently, was said by Wednesday starter and NL Cy Young favorite Clayton Kershaw.
“That, definitely, I’m going to stick up for my players when you’re going to say something like that,” D-backs Manager Kirk Gibson told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo.
Unfortunately Gibson would not share Kershaw’s words, only saying he’s considering putting Parra in the lineup again Wednesday night.
“We’ll just see how things go,” he said.
Indeed, and it looks like the series finale has a little extra intrigue now.
