Diamondbacks to host Star Wars Day at Chase Field

Sep 21, 2011, 8:47 PM | Updated: 9:55 pm

The Diamondbacks can’t force you to attend a game, but they’ll welcome you to use the force when you watch them play the Giants at Chase Field Sunday afternoon.

The team announced plans for “Star Wars Day” at the ballpark.

Tickets for the promotion start at $33, with a portion of sales going to benefit Stand Up To Cancer.

As part of the theme Star Wars costumed characters will be on hand for the game and fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters. Fans who purchase the special ticket package will receive a Star Wars shirt, and all costumed fans will be invited to go onto the field for special pre-game recognition.
