Manager Kirk Gibson made it clear, “If he’s not totally
okay, then I’ll switch the lineup.”
The Diamondbacks are not taking any chances with All-Star
outfielder Justin Upton. A day after he was hit
in the head by a Tim Lincecum fastball, Upton is not in
Monday’s lineup against the L.A. Dodgers.
“I mean I always think I can play,” Upton said before the
lineup was announced.
But should you play?
“I don’t see why not. We’ll see what Gibby thinks.
Obviously it’s more important for me to be playing on
Saturday than it is now.”
