Things got off to a rocky start in Corvallis for the Oregon State Beavers in Thursday night’s 98-64 win for the Arizona Wildcats.
The Beavers couldn’t buy a bucket in the opening half of the Pac-12 matchup in the Willamette, failing to score a point until there were just under 12 minutes to play in the opening half.
Oregon State finally broke through on a mid-range jumper by freshman guard Jarod Lucas, snapping Arizona’s 15-0 run to start the game.

The Beavers started the night with 10 consecutive missed field goals before Lucas’ two-pointer broke their scoring drought.
On Tuesday, Oregon postponed this weekend’s matchups with both Arizona and the Arizona State Sun Devils due to COVID-19 concerns within the Ducks’ program.
As a result, the Wildcats’ next game will be a Territorial Cup contest with ASU at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe on Jan. 21.
