Diamondbacks plan Blackout for Game 4

Oct 5, 2011, 4:30 PM | Updated: 6:01 pm

The Diamondbacks players and coaches have decided to wear their black uniforms tonight in Game 4, and they want their fans to do the same.

The team has scheduled a Blackout for tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, and all fans are encouraged to wear their black D-Backs gear as well.

“It was awesome,” first baseman Paul Goldschmidt said. “Almost 50,000 people here cheering for us. We were in Milwaukee and their crowd was loud. But to get home and get the momentum early with a quick first inning and score a couple of runs, it was definitely a huge momentum boost.”

The first 35,000 fans will get black Diamondbacks t-shirts at the door.

The game starts tonight at 6:37 p.m. and tickets are still available.

Anyone who wants to help the D-Backs complete the Blackout can go to Dbacks.com or call (602) 514-8400 to see about tickets.
