The honors continue to pour in for Arizona Diamondbacks’
right fielder Justin Upton, who Thursday was named to the Sporting News National League All-
Star team .
Upton’s 31 home runs and 88 runs batted in led the
Diamondbacks, who won the fifth division title in their 14-
year history and lost in the NLCS to the Milwaukee Brewers
in five games.
Upton joins Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun and Matt Kemp of the
Dodgers in representing the National League outfield.
Arizona skipper Kirk Gibson was named NL Manager of the Year
by Sporting News earlier in the week.
The balloting was conducted among 55 members of major league
front offices (29 in NL, 26 in AL).
