The Arizona State Sun Devils and Utah Utes are back at work trying to reschedule their meeting in Tempe.

ASU’s home game against Utah on Tuesday has been postponed to “a date yet to be determined after coordinating with the Pac-12 conference,” the university announced Friday.

ASU adds the two programs will work with the conference to find a mutually agreeable date.

The Sun Devils and Utes were originally supposed to play Dec. 22, but due to COVID-19 concerns within Utah’s program, the game was postponed.

With the latest postponement, the Sun Devils are now tasked with rescheduling four conference games during the first week of March. The matchups include Washington, Washington State and Oregon.

“We’re going to do the best thing we can do in the fastest way possible to try [to get games rescheduled],” Hurley said Jan. 14 after Oregon’s postponement. “Our sports administrator Ken Landphere is working very hard behind the scenes to juggle our schedule, as are all the coaches being open to doing things that you normally wouldn’t do.”

The postponement ends what will be a five-game stretch of uninterrupted play. The team’s longest stretch is seven games at the beginning of the season.

The news comes after ASU snapped a six-game losing streak Thursday night with a 72-68 win over the California Golden Bears.

ASU will look to make it two straight wins this Saturday against Stanford before taking on the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday.
