Arizona State’s matchup on Saturday against Stanford will now take place at 6 p.m. as opposed to 8 p.m., the school announced Friday.
The Sun Devils’ game will still be televised on ESPN2 and broadcasted on ESPN 620 AM.
Arizona State is 5-8 on the season and 2-5 in conference play. The team snapped a six-game losing streak by beating California on Thursday, as postponements have continued to stack up and give Bobby Hurley’s squad an uneven year.
ASU’s home game against Utah on Tuesday was postponed to “a date yet to be determined after coordinating with the Pac-12 conference.”
The Sun Devils and Utes were originally supposed to play Dec. 22, but due to COVID-19 concerns within Utah’s program, the game was postponed. It was then moved to that Tuesday, putting ASU in line to play three games that week.
The rescheduled game was the first for Arizona State, and after the attempt was postponed, the Sun Devils now still have four games left to make up.
The postponement ended what will be a five-game stretch of uninterrupted play. The team’s longest stretch is seven games at the beginning of the season.
