Moving day has come early at the 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

A number of golfers made a leap up the leaderboard Friday, with Xander Schauffele pacing the field at 12-under.

After finishing the front nine with just one birdie, Schauffele turned the page on the back, rattling off four birdies and an eagle on his way to a 7-under 64.

On his heels are Steve Stricker and Keegan Bradley. Stricker put together another solid round, firing off a 5-under 66, while Bradley turned in a 65 (6-under) on the scorecard.

The trio was three of 18 golfers to shoot at least 5-under in Round 2, with another being Justin Thomas, who began the day with a double bogey.

Thomas is back in the running after going 6-under on the day, highlighted by a chip-in for birdie on his final hole of the day and a near make from the fairway. He’s tied for 16th after posting a 1-under 70 on Thursday.

The round of the day, however, belongs to Lucas Glover, who finished at 8-under (63). He’s currently tied for 16th.

Not far behind Glover is Arizona State alum Jon Rahm, who posted a 2-under 69 and currently sits tied for 27th at 5-under. They’re tied with Rory McIlroy, who has the longest active streaks of consecutive made cuts at 25. Schauffele sits in second with 21.

A total of 13 golfers made eagles Friday, with Jordan Spieth being one of them. He’s in striking range at 8-under (tied for eighth). Matthew NeSmith, Bo Hoag and Russell Knox are the only three in the field to have recorded an eagle in both rounds.

Golfers who missed the 3-under cut line include ASU alum Chez Reavie, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland.

Without further ado, here’s a look at Saturday’s pairings:
