Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder is out for Sunday’s game against the Boston Celtics, head coach Monty Williams said during pregame availability.
Crowder has been battling right foot soreness since Wednesday and sat out of Friday’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Williams had said pregame Friday that Crowder was day-to-day with his injury.
On the season, Crowder is averaging 10.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Cam Payne (right foot sprain) and Dario Saric (left ankle sprain) remain out for Sunday’s matchup.
Abdel Nader was a late scratch due to left ankle soreness after being listed as probable.
Sunday’s starting five was the same as Friday night’s when Williams mixed up the lineup with Frank Kaminsky and Mikal Bridges starting at forward.
Kaminsky took the spot of Cam Johnson, who was moved into the starting lineup for Crowder 10 games ago for a few different reasons, primarily to shake up the offensive flow and make the team move a little faster.
