Newsmakers Week: Derrick Hall joins Doug and Wolf

Feb 14, 2012, 1:56 AM | Updated: 6:02 pm

Doug and Wolf kicked off their 5th Newsmakers Week
on Arizona Sports 620 by welcoming Derrick Hall, the
president and
CEO
of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who joined the boys in
studio.

Coming off a surprising 2011 campaign that saw the
Diamondbacks capture the National League West crown and an
offseason that saw them bolster their starting rotation
and depth, the expectations for this club have changed
dramatically in one year’s time.

“Right away, we’re a little bit weaker in the sense of we
are on the map now and teams are after us. We have a
target on our back,” Hall said. “We’re rolling into
cities now they’re going “hey, this isn’t so easy, it’s
not a pushover, we’ve got to beat Gibby and those D-backs,
so I think teams are going to be gunning for us.”
