D-backs send Hudson to DL, recall Albaladejo

The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled right-handed pitcher Jonathan
Albaladejo from Triple-A Reno and have placed right-handed pitcher Daniel
Hudson on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury, according to
D-backs’ Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.
Albaladejo, 29, appeared in 8 relief appearances with Reno in 2012, and was
1-1 with a 2.35 ERA and 7 strikeouts. He limited opponents to a .087 average
(2-for-23) with Reno in 2012.
Albaladejo has 63 major league appearances with the Nationals in 2007 and
the Yankees from 2008 to 2010, and is 6-3 with a 4.15 ERA in 73 innings
pitched.
The 6-foot-5 pitcher spent the entire 2011 season with the Yomiuri Giants of
the Japanese Central League, going 2-2
with a 2.45 ERA (14 earned runs in 51.1 innings pitched) and 2 saves in 46
games.
Hudson has gone 26-16 in his career with a 3.33 ERA.
