Wade Miley did not begin April as a household name in the
Diamondbacks organization, but he finished the month as one
for all of baseball.
Miley, who went 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA for the Diamondbacks in
21 innings of work, was named the National League Rookie of
the Month.
Miley began the season as a long reliever for the team, but
was moved to the starting rotation prior to the team’s April
23rd game vs. the Philadelphia Phillies.
The 25-year-old was selected by the D-backs 43rd overall in
the 2008 draft, and has a 7-2 record with a 3.39 ERA over
the course of 61 Major League innings.
