You might call it fate. J.J. Watt calls it serendipitous.
The defensive lineman unveiled a new colorway for his Reebok J.J. IV training shoe Wednesday at midnight.
And as luck would have it, the colors used to design the kicks match that of Watt’s new team, the Arizona Cardinals.
Serendipitous (adj.):
occurring or discovered by chance in a happy or beneficial way. When we designed this colorway 8 months ago, we just thought it was a simple, clean look. In a serendipitous turn of events, it happens to be Arizona Cardinals colors.

“When we designed this colorway 8 months ago, we just thought it was a simple, clean look. In a serendipitous turn of events, it happens to be Arizona Cardinals colors,” Watt tweeted Wednesday morning, adding the definition of serendipitous to his post.

The shoe is mostly black with red leading down the back of the heel and into the insole. The sole is white with black and gray camo on the outsole.
“JJ” is sported in white near the heel of the shoe. Roman numerals IV are also near the collar of the shoe.
“Football great J.J. Watt works as hard off the field as he does on it,” Reebok says on their website. “Created with the All-Pro defensive end, future Hall of Famer and tireless humanitarian, these men’s Reebok training shoes are designed for athletes as they take on their toughest workouts.”
Now that they’re available, the next question is: How many of his new teammates will be donning a pair this offseason?
