Report: D-backs to wear ‘Italian Day’ uniforms

Jun 6, 2012, 3:28 PM | Updated: 4:43 pm

It appears the Arizona Diamondbacks are going to take part
in “Italian Heritage Day” later this summer.

According to 620 WTMJ Radio in Wisconsin, the July 1st
game at Miller Park will feature the both teams wearing red,
white and green jerseys.

The Brewers version will say “Birrai,” which means “Brewers”
in Italian, while the D-backs’ duds will say “iD-backs,”
which probably means “iD-backs” in Italian.

As part of the day the Brewers will also give an Italian
Sausage bobblehead to all fans in attendance, and Italian
Dancers will perform at the game.
