Bally Sports Arizona set to replace FOX Sports Arizona

FOX Sports Arizona is set to become Bally Sports Arizona.

Similar regional sports television networks owned by Sinclair will also rebrand as Bally Sports before the start of the Major League Baseball season.

FOX Sports Arizona is the local TV broadcaster for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Coyotes.

The network has run informational ads about the change over the week-plus heading into the brand makeover, saying that the voices who cover the teams, television station numbers and streaming services will not change for any of the teams.

TV streaming will go through BallySports.com when a consumer authenticates their pay-TV service. The FOX Sports Go app will update to the new Bally Sports app, or users without an app can download the Bally Sports app to watch games after the rebrand.

Bally’s and Sinclair, which operates the FOX regional networks, announced a partnership in November 2020 that created “a long-term strategic partnership that would combine Bally’s vertically-integrated, proprietary sports betting technology with Sinclair’s expansive market footprint.”

“Rolling out Bally’s iconic logo across Sinclair’s regional sports networks is a rewarding first step in a transformational partnership that is going to revolutionize the U.S. sports betting, gaming and media industries,” George Papanier, president and CEO of Bally’s Corporation, said in a press release.

“We look forward to integrating Bally’s unique content, including the award-winning daily fantasy sports platform we are acquiring from Monkey Knife Fight, across Sinclair’s live game day coverage and providing unrivaled sports gamification on a national scale.”

The groups revealed logos and their plans to make the change in January.
