Jaelen Strong fell a little farther in the 2015 NFL Draft than where he was projected to land.
The former Arizona State wide receiver was picked by Houston in the third round at the No. 70 overall spot in the draft.
Ten receivers went before him:
The 6-foot-3 former Sun Devil was widely expected to go in the late first round or early in the second.
In 2014 with ASU, the Philadelphia native posted team highs of 82 receptions, 1,165 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning a spot on ESPN’s All-America Team.
Despite falling farther than anticipated, Strong still became the first wide receiver to be drafted out of ASU since Kyle Williams went to the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round in 2010.
