The Diamondbacks were set to square off against the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. EST, the third game of a four game series.
While it started on time, mother nature seemed to have other plans as rain and lightning covered Ohio in the hours leading up to first pitch.
A flash flood warning was issued at 5:38 p.m. for the Cincinnati area after a large, severe thunderstorm roared through the Midwest. The warning was active until 6:45 p.m. according to weather.com.
Light rain continued to pour around the Great American Ballpark after the warning ended. Rainfall is expected to drop to a 10% chance by 9:00 p.m.
D-backs infielder Geoff Blum posted the below video to his Twitter, showcasing how bad the weather was in The Buckeye State.
