The Phoenix Suns showed no mercy from behind the arc in Monday’s contest against the Houston Rockets.

The Suns finished the first half by making 18 3-pointers, tying an NBA record for most threes in a half which the Utah Jazz set earlier this season.

Suns power forward Jae Crowder got things rolling for Phoenix early on by knocking down a couple of threes to open the first quarter including the first deep ball to open the game.

Crowder ended the first half with eight 3-pointers for Phoenix, a triple shy from tying the Suns franchise record held by Aron Baynes, Channing Frye, Quentin Richardson and Rex Chapman.

The Suns power forward also ended the first half with 26 points, a season high for Crowder.

Phoenix also made history on Monday night by knocking down 12 threes in the second quarter, an NBA record for most threes in a single quarter.

The Suns capped off Monday night ultimately breaking the franchise record with 25 threes against the Rockets.
