Arizona’s associate head coach from last season is remaining onboard as a member of Tommy Lloyd’s staff.
Jack Murphy will be staying in Tucson and hold that same position as associate head coach, the school announced Monday.
Murphy was the head coach of Northern Arizona from 2012-19 and had a record of 78-149. He then moved onto the Wildcats’ staff in the position he has had the last two seasons.
The 41-year-old’s alma mater is Arizona, where he worked his way up on Lute Olson’s staff from team manager to titles like recruiting coordinator, video coordinator and director of operations.
Murphy made the move to NBA after that, working as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets for three years from 2006-09. After that, the coach was with the Memphis Tigers for three seasons as an assistant, playing a key role as a recruiter for a top-five class in 2010.
