“Steve, we’re going to (expletive) kill everyone.”
Zaven Collins couldn’t contain his excitement Thursday night, and those were some of the first words he spoke when taking a phone call from Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim.
You will not watch a more amazing and emotional call than this.

“We’re going to get a Super Bowl ring so (expletive) big on our finger,” Collins told Keim. “A (expletive) show dog wouldn’t be able to jump over it.”
The newest addition to Vance Joseph’s defense watched the draft at home with members of his family. Collins’ emotions were on full display, as he celebrated getting selected with the No. 16 overall pick.
While we saw the video feed of Collins losing control of his emotions on Thursday night, we didn’t see the other end of the phone line in the Cardinals’ war room. We also didn’t hear what Collins said once he gathered himself enough to have a conversation with his new boss.
Collins’ enthusiasm radiated through the phone line, as Keim couldn’t help himself from jumping in on the excitement.
“I love it man, I love it,” Keim told Collins. “Keep that attitude. Keep that chip on your shoulder.”
Collins went on to express his gratitude to head coach Kliff Kingsbury and team owner Michael Bidwill.
When Kingsbury got his chance to speak with Collins, the two shared how ready they were to get started.
“There’s no (expletive) red-shirting,” Collins said. “We’re going to go in there and we’re going to kill it.”
