Gibson: Bauer most likely not coming up before Aces season ends

With Tyler Skaggs and Patrick Corbin making their mark on the Diamondbacks rotation, and their playoff chances dwindling, where does Trevor Bauer fit in?
Bauer is currently pitching for the Triple-A Reno Aces, who have six games left on their schedule and are currently leading their division with a 76-62 record.
“If our staff stays healthy we probably wouldn’t bring Trevor up until after they’re done, if we bring him up at all,” manager Kirk Gibson said.
Bauer made four starts this season in a three week stint with the Diamondbacks and had a 1-2 record with a 6.06 ERA. Gibson has remained confident in the 21-year-old, but sent him back to Reno with specific instructions.
“Only time will tell. I know he went down there and worked on some things, we communicated with him that we’d like to see him be more efficient with his pitches,” Gibson said.
Bauer is 5-1 as of Tuesday with a 2.84 ERA with Triple-A Reno. He was 7-1 with a 1.68 ERA for Double-A Mobile before being moved up to Reno midway through the season.
While Bauer would most likely benefit from another stint with the Diamondbacks this season, his best chance for valuable experience as a pitcher may come by leading a very talented Aces ball club in to the playoffs.
