The Arizona Cardinals announced on Thursday the official signings of four undrafted free agents.
Those four players were Arizona cornerback Lorenzo Burns, NC State tight end Cary Angeline, Cincinnati TE Bruno Labelle and Oklahoma State defensive lineman Cam Murray.
Burns stands at 5-foot-10, 183 pounds and was named an All-Pac-12 honorable mention twice in his five years in Tucson under former head coaches Rich Rodriguez (2016-17) and Kevin Sumlin (2018-20).
The signing marks the third rookie CB the team has acquired after drafting Florida’s Marco Wilson in the fourth round and UCF’s Tay Gowan in the sixth of the 2021 NFL Draft. In 42 career games for the Wildcats, Burns compiled 192 total tackles (142 solo, eight for loss), nine interceptions, 35 passes defensed, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
After not drafting a tight end to replace Dan Arnold in the draft, the Cardinals have signed two as undrafted free agents.
Angeline stands at 6-foot-7, 250 pounds and spent two years at USC before transferring to NC State, where he would earn All-ACC honorable mentions in each of the last two seasons. In the last two years, the tight end posted a total of 52 catches for 791 yards and 11 touchdowns in 20 appearances.
Labelle comes in a 6-foot-4, 247 pounds and will team up with former Cincinnati teammate and Cardinals seventh-round pick James Wiggins. The Montreal native had 20 receptions for 150 yards and two touchdowns in 11 career games at tight end for Cincinnati. Labelle also played special teams in 35 games for the Bearcats.
The 6-foot-2, 294-pound Murray appeared in 25 career games for Oklahoma State and accumulated 57 total tackles, seven sacks and had two passes defended. He started all 11 games his senior year and ended the season with 22 tackles.
The Cardinals are now at the 90-man roster limit.
