Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul named to All-NBA Second Team

The Phoenix Suns continue to add to what has already been an impressive 2020-21 season.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced that point guard Chris Paul was named to the All-NBA Second Team.

This is the 10th time in Paul’s career that he has been named to an All-NBA team and is coming off of back-to-back seasons winning such honors.

The announcement comes as no surprise, as the Suns’ backcourt has led Phoenix to a 51-21 regular season and a place in the Western Conference Finals.

Since the moment Paul landed in Phoenix, he brought a new spark to the Suns that continued to grow as the year progressed.

On top of propelling the Suns to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference this season, Paul has brought the Suns back into the conservation as one of the league’s best teams after a decade-long playoff drought.

During the course of the season, Paul was named to his 11th All-Star appearance alongside Booker, who was named to his second All-Star Game in back-to-back seasons.

Paul also surpassed Lakers’ Hall of Famer Magic Johnson for fifth on the NBA’s All-Time assists list.

The Suns point guard currently is sitting with 10,275 career regular-season assists.

Paul played in 70 games for the Suns this year and finished the regular season averaging 16.4 points, 8.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his first year for Phoenix.

Shooting guard Devin Booker Devin Booker didn’t make an All-NBA team and finished 10th in voting among guards, earning three votes for second team and 12 votes to make the third team.

In 409 career regular-season games for Phoenix, Booker has started 384 games for the Suns and has averaged 23.0 points, 4.6 assists and 3.7 rebounds.

The two-time All-Star has come into his first career postseason run with a bang. Booker is averaging 27.9 points per game, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
