It’s been a year since the major fallout of the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal that involved the banging of trash cans as a form of communication. The Los Angeles Dodgers aren’t ready to forget.
To some degree, that’s fair since the Astros beat the Dodgers to win the World Series in 2017, when Houston was found to have cheated.
We know Los Angeles isn’t over it yet because of what happened Thursday night between the Dodgers and visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.
D-backs outfielder Josh Reddick, a member of those 2017 Astros, made his debut with Arizona and was welcomed by the Dodgers’ organist playing Ace of Base’s “I Saw the Sign.”

The Los Angeles television broadcasting crew didn’t take long to pick up on the connection.
“You got any garbage can songs?” joked analyst Orel Hershiser.
The fans at Dodgers Stadium have not forgotten about Reddick’s past teams, either.

Reddick went 0-of-4 with two strikeouts in his D-backs debut, a 3-2 loss for Arizona.
