With the NBA’s free agency period set to begin in two days, there are rumors and reports flying around concerning Phoenix Suns point guards.
Sunday night, Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times reported that the Suns want to re-sign restricted free agent point guard Brandon Knight to a five-year, $70 million deal when free agency begins. It would be the same deal the Suns gave to restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe last summer.
Speaking of Bledsoe, Marc Stein of ESPN tweeted Sunday night that Phoenix could be looking to unload Bledsoe just one year into that deal.
That Suns will seriously explore their Eric Bledsoe trade options if they indeed strikes the deal w/B-Knight that @GeryWoelfel is reporting

Bledsoe, 25, averaged 17.0 points and 6.1 assists in 81 games for the Suns a year ago.
General manager Ryan McDonough refuted Bledsoe trade rumors following last week’s NBA Draft.
“It would take a whole lot for us to move Eric Bledsoe,” he told Doug and Wolf last Friday on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. “And that’s something we haven’t even considered. It hasn’t been discussed.
“It’s just something we’re not looking to do, frankly.”
