Death is a natural part of life. We’re all gonna go at some point, we just don’t know when.
Take Clair Lane, who passed away last Wednesday at the age of 75.
Lane, who lived a good life by his family’s accounts, needed to make sure he cleared some things up before he headed to the great beyond.
“He would like to mention the timing has absolutely nothing to do with ASU Football’s pending investigation,” Lane’s obituary said.
While some fans may shy away from the controversy, Lane was quick to acknowledge the NCAA’s ongoing investigation into the university over allegations of recruiting violations.
He didn’t stop there.
Before his time was up, Lane made sure he got one last parting shot in on the Arizona Wildcats and the lopsided 2020 Territorial Cup matchup that ended in favor of the Suns Devils.
“However, he does look forward to the investigation of the murder that took place in Arizona Stadium in November 2020 resulting in a 70-7 victory for the Sun Devils,” he said.
Now that’s a true fan.
