The Milwaukee Bucks will be without their star player in Giannis Antetokounmpo when they take on the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night with the Eastern Conference Finals series tied 2-2.

Antetokounmpo is officially listed as out for the matchup due to a left knee hyperextension suffered in Game 4.

Halfway through the third quarter in Milwaukee’s Game 4 loss, Hawks center Clint Capela attacked the rim when Antetokounmpo appeared to have made contact with teammate Brook Lopez. It made for an awkward landing for the Bucks’ two-time MVP.

The Bucks had said Wednesday Antetokounmpo was initially doubtful after an MRI revealed he hyperextended his left knee during Game 4 against Atlanta.

Through 15 playoff matchups, Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists over 37.4 minutes per game. He’s made 55.1% of his shots and is 18.2% from long range.

Game 5 marks the first game this postseason the All-Star will miss.

Additionally, the revised injury report still lists Atlanta’s Trae Young and Capela as questionable for Game 5.

Young missed Game 4 because of a bone bruise in his right foot. Capela’s right eye is inflamed after after taking an inadvertent elbow to the face late in Game 4.

The winner of the Eastern Conference Finals will take on the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals.
