Two Phoenix Suns lead the odds of who will win the 2021 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player honor.

And that is obviously because the Milwaukee Bucks’ two-time regular season MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is doubtful heading into Game 1 of the series with a knee injury.

SportsBetting.ag is favoring Phoenix guard Chris Paul to win the series MVP at +130, while teammate Devin Booker comes in at second with +230 odds.

In his 13th playoff appearance, Paul is averaging 18.1 points, 8.7 assists,1.4 steals and shooting 47% from the field in 32.8 minutes of work. But he’s suffered a shoulder injury in the first round of the playoffs, a COVID-19-caused absence in the Western Conference Finals and after returning, dealt with hand and finger issues.

Booker has drawn quite the attention from opposing defenses all postseason long yet is averaging 27.0 points, 6.4 rebound and 4.8 assists per game.

Antetokounmpo, meanwhile, missed the last two games of the Bucks’ Eastern Conference Finals series win against the Atlanta Hawks after suffering a hyperextended knee.

Bucks owner Marc Lasry told CNBC on Tuesday before Game 1 he expected Milwaukee’s leader will play but added, “The question is when.”

Paul and Booker lead the odds because the Suns are also series favorites to win the title.

The betting line opened in their favor for Game 1 at -5.5, but that’s moved to -6 as of Tuesday morning, according to OddsShark.com. Milwaukee is 3-9 against the spread in its last 12 games as an underdog.

Here’s a peek at the full Finals MVP odds, plus other prop bets for the series.
