The Phoenix Suns remain the favorites for Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, though the betting line has slipped slightly compared to the opening for Game 1.
For Game 2, the Suns opened at -5.5, but that has dipped to -5 across most betting services, according to OddsShark.com.
In the opener, it stretched to -6 in favor of the home team on the morning of gameday.
It’s easy to see why.
Even on Tuesday morning before Phoenix took the series opener, 118-105, it seemed like a long-shot for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to play through his hyperextended knee. He did, putting up 20 points and 17 rebounds while looking quite like himself in his first game in a week.
That’ll lead to more confidence in the Bucks on Thursday for the 6 p.m. game that will air on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
The over/under opened at 221.5 for Game 2, though that’s dropped to 220.5 at most betting services. The total has gone over in the last five meetings between the Suns and Bucks.
Milwaukee is 1-6 both straight up and against the spread against Phoenix.
The Suns entered the game 11-3 against the spread in its last 14 games against all opponents.
