Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams told his team mistakes made in Wednesday’s 109-103 loss in Game 4 of the NBA Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks are correctable.

“What happened tonight is correctable,” Williams said. “17 offensive rebounds they got, 17 turnovers we had.

“Think about that guys. We had a 21-point fourth quarter. We’re making it hard on ourselves.”

The Suns lost to the Bucks even though Devin Booker returned from a rare off performance in Game 3 to score 42 points.

Despite being outscored on points off turnovers and fast-break points by a 39-5 margin, the Suns still had a nine-point lead with five minutes left in regulation but couldn’t bring it home.

After entering Milwaukee carrying a two-game lead in the NBA Finals, the Suns return to Phoenix for Game 5 on Saturday tied two games apiece.

The Suns still hold the home-court advantage with two of the possible three final games of the series taking place in Phoenix.

“We’re in this situation now because we put ourselves in this situation, and I mean that in a good way,” Williams said. “We got three games to win two, that’s how you got to look at it.

“You can’t have your heads down right now, you got to stay together.”

Williams ended the postgame speech to his team by repeating a mantra that has carried Phoenix through its return to the playoffs after more than a decade and subsequent run to the franchise’s first Finals appearance since 1993.

“Ever since I’ve been here we talk about everything you want is on the other side of hard,” Williams said. “This is hard, this is freaking hard.

“So you got to stick together. That’s the deal.”

Tip-off for Game 5 of the series is Saturday at 6 p.m.
