The Fourth of July isn’t traditionally known to be a time of giving, but that doesn’t mean the holiday spirit wasn’t present Saturday at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
After evidently dropping his gum earlier in the game, Cincinnati center fielder Billy Hamilton was the recipient of a bit charity courtesy of Milwaukee center fielder Carlos Gomez, who took it upon himself to leave Hamilton a note and some gum in center field in the third inning.
The note read: “I see you dropped all your gum so I brought you some more.”
Milwaukee would go to defeat Cincinnati 7-3.
Karma anyone?
