The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that the team has placed cornerback Lorenzo Burns on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Burns was signed as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in 2021 out of the University of Arizona.

He recorded 192 tackles, nine interception and two fumble recoveries in the Wildcats’ COVID-19 shortened five-game season last year. In his sophomore year at Arizona, Burns was tied for the Pac-12 lead with five interceptions after redshirting his freshman year due to injury.

Burns led the Wildcats with 11 pass breakups in 10 starts his second year in 2018 with 39 tackles and two for loss. He earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 and team Defensive MVP his junior season with four interceptions, seven pass breakups and 47 tackles. Burns was an honorable mention all-conference selection again in 2020 after starting all five games.
