GLENDALE — The Arizona Cardinals were without wide receiver Christian Kirk and guard Brian Winters during Tuesday’s edition of training camp.

For Kirk, it marks the second straight day he was not in uniform, though he was seen on the sidelines throughout the practice.

“Minor deal that I expect him to be back soon,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday.

With Kirk sidelined, rookie Rondale Moore, along with third-year pros Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson, shared first-team reps.

In 14 games last season, Kirk recorded 48 catches for 621 yards and six touchdowns, tying DeAndre Hopkins for most receiving scores on the team. While he saw an uptick in touchdowns, Kirk saw a drop in targets (107), receptions (68) and receiving yards (709) from the year prior.

As for Winters, Kingsbury said it was the “same deal” as Kirk, but added the guard would miss extended time.

“He’s got something not too serious but we’ll be cautious and it will be a couple of weeks,” Kingsbury said.

Winters is in his first season with the Cardinals after spending 2020 with the Buffalo Bills. He was released this offseason before signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals.

Winters also played seven seasons with the New York Jets.

Arizona brought the lineman in for added depth and to compete for the starting right guard spot. With him sidelined, Justin Murray and Josh Jones figure to garner more reps throughout training camp. Josh Miles and Max Garcia could also be in line for added use.
