The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday they activated safety Shawn Williams from the non-football injury list and signed receiver Greg Dortch to a one-year deal.
The 5-foot-7, 175-pound Dortch has two games of NFL experience with the Carolina Panthers in 2019 as a return man.
As a kick returner, he took five attempts for 119 yards with a long of 32 yards. He added four punts returned for 28 total yards, plus a fair catch.
Dortch, 23, has spent time with the Jets, Panthers, Rams and Falcons in addition to the Panthers. He was most recently with Atlanta.
Williams, 29, signed with the Cardinals in late March. He played under current Arizona defensive coordinator Vance Joseph in 2014-15, when Joseph led defensive backs for Cincinnati.
A 2013 third-round pick by the Bengals, Williams was an everyday starter in 2019 and posted 114 tackles with an interception and three passes defensed.
He was relegated to a backup safety and special teams role last year after the Bengals got younger by signing Vonn Bell.
Williams recorded 16 tackles and a pass defensed over 13 games in 2020.
