Cardinals are underdogs at home vs. Chiefs in preseason Week 2

The Arizona Cardinals will open their second preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs as three-point underdogs on Friday, according to the FanDuel sportsbook.
Likely, that is because Kansas City is expected to play the majority of its starters for up to the whole first half of the game at State Farm Stadium.
“We’ll go a half, somewhere there about, with the starters, and then the twos and threes will take the second half,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury has kept his plans for how much his starters will play under wraps. The Cardinals did not dress starting quarterback Kyler Murray in the preseason opener, a win against the Dallas Cowboys last Friday.
“We’re going to do what we think is best for our team and go from there,” Kingsbury said Monday.
“Everybody’s probably treating it differently. We know we have a great opponent coming it. It’ll be a great test against some of their really good players, so we’re hopeful that we can improve and take one step forward, but I think each team probably has a different philosophy on it.”
The over/under for the game is set at 41 points.
Kickoff at State Farm Stadium is set for 5 p.m. MST.
The game over the radio will air on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station. It will be carried on television by ESPN.
