TEMPE — Arizona Cardinals left tackle D.J. Humphries has some bones to pick with the NFL Top 100.

The annual ranking wrapped up Saturday, revealing the top 10 spots. A total of four Cardinals cracked the list and Humphries was not one of them. That’s not the main reason for his gripe, however.

At No. 8 for a second straight season was Humphries’ teammate DeAndre Hopkins, which didn’t sit right with the left tackle after practice on Monday.

“I’m gonna be honest with you, I didn’t watch it at all, because I didn’t get in,” Humphries said smiling. “Once I saw J.J. at 66, I was like, ‘Maybe I’m gonna be 50. Maybe I’ll get in there. Maybe I’ll squeak in there somehow.’

“But eight sounds very high for Hop. … I would have definitely liked to see him in the top 3. That’s just me personally. I was a DeAndre Hopkins fan before we got him on the team, so I’m bias for sure.”

Humphries didn’t stop there on his opinion of the ranking voted on by the players. Or is it?

“I think that’s [expletive], I don’t think we actually pick it.,” Humphries said. “I think this [expletive] is all made up. I haven’t wrote on that list once, I haven’t voted for anybody once so I think it’s a bunch of [expletive]. The NFL Top 100 is making it up and I don’t know.

“At this point, I wanna talk to somebody, because I feel like, a 100 guys. I mean, come on bro, [I’m] 99 at least. Somewhere in there. I’m just kidding but to answer the question, don’t believe the hype. I don’t know who they give these lists to, who gets them, but I haven’t gotten one yet, so tell them to put that in their pipe and smoke it.”
