After getting in a full practice on Friday, Arizona Cardinals tight end Darrell Daniels is indeed active for the team’s season opener against the Tennessee Titans.

Daniels had been a limited participant with a toe issue the first days of practice before getting the green light Friday.

The tight end is the only Cardinal listed on the injury report that will suit up Sunday, with linebacker Dennis Gardeck and wide receiver Antoine Wesley already ruled out of the contest.

Other Cardinals inactives include quarterback Chris Streveler, running back Eno Benjamin, offensive lineman Josh Miles and cornerbacks Luq Barcoo and Tay Gowan.

Gardeck was placed on the injured reserve Saturday after suffering a hand injury during practice Thursday. Wesley was a surprise add to the injury report Friday with an illness. He was later placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

In 12 games last season, Daniels recorded eight receptions (11 targets) for 92 yards and a touchdown. He’s currently third on the depth chart behind Maxx Williams and offseason signing Demetrius Harris.

As for the Titans, kicker Sam Ficken will miss Sunday’s action and then some after being placed on the IR with a right groin injury. In his place is Michael Badgley, who was recently signed to the team’s practice squad before being elevated to the active roster.

Cornerback Chris Jackson, who was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, will not go after getting an extra look from the coaching staff pregame.

Wide receiver Josh Reynolds (foot) and tight end Tommy Hudson (toe) are also inactive, joining offensive lineman Dillon Radunz, linebacker Rashad Weaver, wide receiver Cameron Batson and linebacker David Long as out.

Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station at 10 a.m. to catch all the action from Tennessee.
