Arizona Cardinals starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum left his team’s 38-13 win against the Tennessee Titans with a rib injury and did not return Sunday.
The Cardinals replaced Beachum in the third quarter with Justin Murray, who started most of the 2019 season at right tackle but was in competition to start at right guard.
Second-year man Josh Jones, who was also a converted right tackle, remained at right guard after Beachum’s injury. Veteran Brian Winters also got run at right guard.
The 32-year-old Beachum left under his own power, and the Cardinals led 24-6 when he departed.
A play after his injury, Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray threw an interception that the Titans quickly capitalized on. Two plays after the pick, Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown, pulling the Titans within 24-13.
Beachum joined the Cardinals last season and re-signed in free agency after a successful and healthy 2020 season.
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury did not have an update on Beachum’s status after the game.
