Arizona Cardinals starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum is day-to-day with a rib injury, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Monday.

The veteran tackle left his team’s 38-13 win against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday and went to the locker room in the third quarter.

The 32-year-old Beachum left under his own power, and the Cardinals led 24-6 when he departed. While he later returned to the sideline, he did not re-enter the game.

The Cardinals replaced Beachum in the third quarter with Justin Murray, who started most of the 2019 season at right tackle but was in competition to start at right guard during training camp.

Second-year man Josh Jones, who was also a converted right tackle and won the starting right guard job, remained at his spot after Beachum’s injury. Veteran Brian Winters additionally got limited run at right guard.

Beachum joined the Cardinals last season and re-signed in free agency after a successful and healthy 2020 season.
