Offensive tackle and 2017 fourth-round pick David Sharpe and three other players worked out Tuesday for the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Sharpe was drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders and has since played for the Houston Texans and Washington Football Team. He has 34 games of experience with six starts in his NFL career.
His appearance at a group workout was notable in terms of that experience but also with the Cardinals losing starting right tackle Kelvin Beachum to a rib injury in their season-opening win against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Beachum is day-to-day, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday.
In addition to Sharpe, Arizona got looks Tuesday at nose tackle Auzoyah Alufohai, plus pass-rushers John Daka and Kobe Jones. The Cardinals additionally cut undrafted rookie tight end Bruno Labelle, who was on injured reserve, reports Wilson.
Daka has played for the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams since entering the league last season.
Alufohai, also an undrafted free agent from 2020, has spent time with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears.
Jones played the past four years at Mississippi State and was not selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. He signed with the Atlanta Falcons for camp and was cut at the end of August.
