The Arizona Cardinals announced six roster moves ahead of Sunday’s clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The team released right guard Brian Winters, signed offensive linemen Sean Harlow and Koda Martin to the active roster from the practice squad, put tackle Josh Miles on injured reserve and promoted safety Chris Banjo and cornerback Antonio Hamilton to the active roster.
The Winters move comes as a surprise as depth is thin with starting tackle Kelvin Beachum listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest.
Winters was a contributor to the team’s offensive line, appearing in 16 snaps through two games.
When the injury report came out on Thursday, Winters was ruled out with a non-injury-related personal issue.
Banjo makes his return to the Cardinals after playing in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, then getting reverted back to the practice squad.
Miles was a seventh-round pick by the Cardinals in 2019, but has not appeared in a game since his rookie year.
Harlow was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and appeared in one NFL game over his five-year career.
Martin was released by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 before signing with Arizona. He has yet to appear in a game for the Cardinals.
Hamilton, similar to Banjo, was elevated prior to the Week 2 game against the Vikings and then reverted to the practice squad.
The five-year vet has five tackles through the first two games and could see increased production with cornerback Marco Wilson being listed as questionable.
