Despite what the numbers said in the boxscore,
Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson was pleased with how one
of his top pitching prospects threw Wednesday.
In his longest stint of the spring, left-hander Wade Miley
allowed 10 hits and 7 runs in 4.2 innings of work. Six of
those runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning of the
Milwaukee Brewers’ 7-1 Cactus League win over the D-backs
at Maryvale Baseball Park.
