Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is officially active for the Arizona’s Week 3 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The wide receiver was absent from practice this week due to ribs injury, though, teammate A.J. Green had little doubt Hopkins would miss a game.
“Hop don’t miss games,” Green said Thursday after practice. “He’ll be fine.”
Hopkins leads the team in receiving touchdowns (3) and is second behind only rookie wideout Rondale Moore in receptions (10) and receiving yards (137) through two games.
Offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum, however, will miss his first game since arriving to the desert in 2020 with a ribs injury. Beachum was a limited participant Friday after missing the first two days of practice.
Beachum had started 17 consecutive games for the Cardinals since arriving to the desert in 2020.
Defensively, cornerbacks Byron Murphy and Marco Wilson are good to go following a pair of ankle injuries. Linebacker Devon Kennard is also up (hamstring).
Other Cardinals inactives include quarterback Chris Streveler, wide receiver Andy Isabella, running back Eno Benjamin, linebacker Victor Dimukeje and cornerbacks Luq Barcoo and Tay Gowan.
For the Jaguars, defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (ankle) and cornerbacks C.J. Henderson (groin) and Tre Herndon (knee) are all inactive after dealing with injuries over the week.
The Cardinals head to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars at 10 a.m. Sunday. Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station for all the action.
