The Arizona Cardinals are adding to their running back room, signing Tavien Feaster to the practice squad, according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
In addition, cornerback Quinton Dunbar and offensive lineman Michal Menet were released from the practice squad, the team announced. Cornerback Luq Barcoo was re-signed to the practice squad and wide receiver Josh Doctson was activated to the practice squad from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Feaster, a second-year back from South Carolina, spent training camp with the Cardinals. He played in Arizona’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 14 where he had 10 yards on three carries and caught a pass for 16 yards.
Joining the team on April 15, he was among one of the final cuts before the Cardinals finalized their 53-man roster ahead of the regular season.
Arizona served as Feaster’s fourth home in the league since he entered in 2020. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent and later spent time with the New York Giants and Detroit Lions last season.
Feaster joins fellow running backs Chase Edmonds, James Conner, Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin in the position room. Benjamin did not play last week against the Rams with a hamstring injury.
